Honeymoon Tips and Must Haves

So your wedding is over now the fun begins. Of course, it is your honeymoon. Although your honeymoon can be a real hassle if you are not prepared for the worst. Below I have put together a small list of items that you might need.

1. Take all your medication with you that you feel will be necessary to your well being.

2. If you are traveling to a foreign country remember that their electrical outlets most likely will not be the same as ours. So make sure you prepare for this or you most likely will not be able to use your electrical items.

3. If you are traveling overseas or out of the country you will need passports and or visas. Make sure you have for these items way in advance. In the time we are living in now security of you and your loved one should be the number one factor so be cautious of where you are traveling.

4. Pack the right clothes for the environment. Take extra shoes for the formal dinners, flip flops for the beach and coats for the cold.

5. If you are traveling to a foreign country make sure you go to your family doctor and get his suggestions on any vaccinations you should get.

6. If you wear contacts or prescription glass have a backup. If not your vacation will be ruined.

7. Make sure you take all of your health insurance information just in case of a medical emergency.

8. Make a list of your traveler's check numbers just in case they get lost or stolen. Do not keep these in your purse or wallet.

9. If you are traveling overseas before you bring anything home with you check with the local government officials or search the internet to get the guidelines of what you can bring back.

10. With all of the bad weather going on these days make sure you are prepared. Take flashlights, candles, extra batteries and perishable foods. Take anything you feel that would help you in such a moment of crisis.

What Can A Costa Rica Honeymoon Offer You?

Costa Rica has become one of the main attractions of Central America due to its rich wildlife, beaches and scenic oceanic coast. It is of little surprise that many couples today invest in a Costa Rica honeymoon and sometimes even to get married.

What Is In Store For A Costa Rica Honeymoon?

A couple?s honeymoon is a period of time that they dedicate to one another to create their first memories and the bond that will last a lifetime. It is therefore important to choose a place that will help them reflect on their life together from today on and celebrate their relationship and marriage.

A Costa Rica honeymoon offers all that and more; peaceful hotels with a natural environment that will take you back in time but with all the amenities you can wish for that will let you sit back and relax in your partner?s company.

The wildlife of Costa Rica is still untouched by the human presence even tough there are a vast number of tourists visiting this beautiful port. If you feel adventurous, there are many activities to join and challenge your partner and if you wish to have a romantic evening all you need to do is walk on the beach and watch the sunset; you will be surprised how the simplest things in life are the most precious with the right person.

Things To Know About Costa Rica

Spanish is the language widely spoken in Costa Rica but English is understood and adopted as well by most locals of this part of the country. If you enjoy coffee, Costa Rica produces some of the finest coffee in the world, which you can taste and pick as you desire.

Their local currency is always favorable in comparison to the US Dollar so, you will always have to gain in that aspect, besides, you will find most shopping and dinning extremely inexpensive compared to the US.

Booking Your Hotel

There are two ways to book your Costa Rica honeymoon: one is through a travel agent who usually will work with you and your budget in order to get you the best deal and rates and the other way if directly online.

Online you will find many options and packages and therefore you may need to shop a bit around before you get the best available package for you. Read the details carefully; ensure the prices are quoted in US Dollars and not the local currency and always ask for Costa Rica honeymoon specials to get a special rate or package.

HoneyMoon Vacation Package - Cheap Honeymoon Destinations

Did you know you can buy your honeymoon vacation package on eBay and possibly save a ton of money? If you know how to search for these deals and what to look for then you can get a fabulous honeymoon at a cheap price. However, with around 12,000 auctions in the Travel category at any given time, searching eBay for a good vacation deal can be quite daunting unless you have help - and here's where this article comes in handy! Here I've listed some of my recommendations for buying airfare, cruises and resorts on eBay and at the bottom of this article you will find a link for more help on finding cheap honeymoon vacation packages.

For discount airline ticket deals as well as some vacation packages I recommend the eBay seller, PointsofLightFoundation. This is a charity store with over 6900 feedback all 100% positive. I compared a vacation package they are offering to Maui from any where in the U.S. or Canada with an online discount travel service and found that I could save over $1,000 on this particular package. It included round trip 1st class airfare for two and 6 nights at the Ritz Carlton hotel. I also compared just airline tickets to Hawaii and found I could save over $100 if I bought them on eBay.

For honeymoon vacation packages I recommend the eBay seller, cruisegoddess -this store has over 1000 feedback and 99.8% is positive. They feature all major cruise lines from Discovery Cruise Lines to all inclusive resorts worldwide. These guys are travel agents with over 25 years experience. Their auction/store listings are very professional and detailed and they provide a phone number to contact them directly. I found a 5 night Carnival Caribbean cruise for two for $578, compared to a similar online service I can save almost $500.

For honeymoon resorts I recommend the eBay seller, justgottago -this store has over 500 feedback, all positive. They specialize in luxury resort and condo rentals and claim you can save 50-75% off the normal rates. Most of the vacations are for 4 - 6 people to get the most out of it, but even if only two are going you can still find a great deal. I found a Las Vegas vacation deal - 7 night stay, up to 6 people in a two bedroom suite for $595. That's less than $100 per person for the whole week.

For any travel deal on eBay you need to read the fine print (i.e. extra charges such as taxes may apply), check the sellers feedback, read what other buyers are saying and ask questions. Expect the seller to provide a contact phone number as well in case you need to get in touch with them. A lot of the vacation packages on eBay have restrictions such as limited dates of travel or you will have to go to a presentation. I found some awesome resort rates, but a presentation is required. If you don't mind pushy sales people it is well worth the trip.

If you can't find the honeymoon vacation package you're looking for on eBay you can always search for travel deals here.

Choosing a Caribbean Honeymoon Resort

Finding a Caribbean honeymoon resort is easy. The hard part is choosing the one that?s right for your honeymoon. There are over 7000 Caribbean islands, not all of which are inhabited. Of the over 7000 islands there are a total of 36 island groups made up of either single islands, such as Jamaica, or island groups like the Bahamas, which boasts 2400 islands. Each of these islands has its own distinct cultural flavor and intimate resorts for the perfect honeymoon.

So how do you choose the right resort for you and your soon to be spouse? There are so many Caribbean honeymoon resorts to choose from. There are all inclusive couples?s only super resorts such as Sandals to more intimate Caribbean villas and inns.

The first thing you need to do when choosing a Caribbean honeymoon resort is to decide which island you would like to stay on. There is such a range of diversity to choose from depending on what you want to do on your honeymoon. For those who like water sports, golf and just hanging out on the beach just about any of the islands will do.

If you are looking for an all around Caribbean experience then Jamaica may be the place for you. With beachside all inclusive super resorts and intimate mountain villas Jamaica has something for everyone. If you want to hike through tropical rain forests and climb cascading waterfalls or spend time shopping the day away and clubbing until the wee hours of the morning then Jamaica is the perfect choice.

For a more intimate Caribbean honeymoon try some of the smaller islands such as Culebra and Dominica. These two islands will truly let you get away from it all, tropical paradises where time ceases to mean anything and there isn?t much to do except just kick back and enjoy the intimacy of being newlyweds.

The Bahamas are made up of 2400 islands and provide just about any and all activities anyone would want to do on a Caribbean honeymoon. There is every accommodation possible, from five star resorts to small family run inns hidden along the old world city streets. And for anyone who has ever wanted to swim with dolphins Grand Bahama boasts the Dolphin Experience.

So as you can see just choosing the Caribbean island you wish to visit can take some doing. Once you find the island to fit you choosing the Caribbean honeymoon resort becomes much easier. Although the size of the island you choose as your honeymoon destination will have an impact on the number of resorts to choose from. The bigger the island the more honeymoon resorts there will be, and again, just like the islands themselves the possibilities are pretty limitless.

But rest assured that which ever Caribbean honeymoon resort you choose you will not be disappointed. Honeymooning in a tropical paradise is the ultimate romantic destination.

Honeymooners Most Popular Destinations

One of the most well known traditions following a wedding is to take a trip to one of the popular honeymoon destinations in the world. It is estimated that 99% of newlyweds will engage in some sort of honeymoon package. The most popular honeymoon destinations are usually places that people often vacation at, such as Hawaii and other tropical locations. The purchase of a honeymoon package is much different than a vacation because newlyweds spend thousands of dollars more for this special event.

Choosing a honeymoon package is quite important and once selected, a newly married couple will join the ranks of a $12 billion-dollar-per-year industry, which whisks newlyweds to some of the most exotic, exciting, fun, and especially romantic honeymoon destinations in the world. While cruises are sometimes thought of as the most popular way to spend a honeymoon, about only 10% of newlyweds take to the high seas. About 1/3 of couples choose honeymoon destinations within the U.S, which may take them skiing in the snowy mountains of Aspen or shuffling down Broadway in the electrifying location of New York City. The rest of the honeymooners select a foreign location to celebrate their wedding, ranging from romantic Paris to the vineyards of Italy.

Depending on the type of wedding a couple has participated in; they may wind up vacationing where they got married. Most out-of town weddings are said to take place in Hawaii, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and of course, Las Vegas. Below are a few places to consider when pondering the many honeymoon destinations that the world has to offer.

Las Vegas

Even the excitement of getting married cannot compare to the never-ending roller coaster ride that is Las Vegas. Take your sweetheart to the romantic Fountains at the Bellagio and shower them with kisses, or savor a taste of abroad through the Eiffel Tower Experience. Then, once you?ve absorbed your fill of the Las Vegas scenery, sights and sounds, you may plow through the many casinos and around-the-clock activities, from lavish buffets to unforgettable can-can and cabaret shows. There is also something quite exciting about having the opportunity to win extra money to extend your honeymoon adventure.

Venice

A romantic trip to Italy is never complete until you experience the beauty of the Grand Canal of Venice. Step into an irresistibly romantic setting upon one of the gondolas, which allow you to float away into a reverie of kisses. Whether you enjoy a performance at the La Fenice Opera House or gaze upon the Basilica di San Marco, couples never tire of the numerous palaces and squares scattered about the city. The art, culture, and natural surroundings wrap newlyweds in a blanket of bliss.

The Bahamas

Honeymoon beach destinations are quite popular. In the Bahamas, you will find a concentration of about 700 islands to romp about, sunbath and make love throughout the night and day. Situated close to Florida, you may engage in numerous day trips to surrounding beaches and resorts. The Bahamas offers access to Nassau, Grand Bahamas Island, as well as the appropriately named, Paradise Island. It is through these islands that a tropical storybook romance unfolds with you and your love as the main characters.

Newlyweds are always looking for a honeymoon destination, there are a few magnificent places, some are classic and some are unique and special, find out more about Top Honeymoon Packages at Celia Nemart?s Honeymoon Destination pages http://honeymoon.travelzupa.com/.

Getting the most out of your honeymoon

First you will need to figure out your budget. After you have set a budget figure out how many weeks it is until your honeymoon and divide the total cost by the number of weeks and set that much back every week or two weeks whenever you get paid. Once you have taken your budget into account figure out how much you would like to spend daily on your honeymoon.

Choose all inclusive when picking your destination. Most of the time you will not need any money at all and your meals are included

Hidden costs are everywhere. You need to figure in all the tips, cab rides and all the meals you will be eating.

Go on a picnic. Picnics are cheap and memorable.

The costs of meals can really add up. So set a budget and look for all the deals possible.

Consider mentioning to local restaurants that you have just got married and are on your honeymoon they might throw in a little something extra.

Eat where most tourist do not. Restaurants will charge more around the tourist areas.

Use your credit card whenever possible because most credit card companies will give you the currency exchange rate.

If your buying mementos shop at mom and pop stores they will usually bargain with you.

Most of all just remember some of the best things in life are free.

Bora Bora Honeymoons

Bora Bora has been the ultimate honeymoon venue ever since the advent of modern tourism. This has nothing to do with the snob value of having vacationed there ? it is just that the island is probably the most romantic spot on the planet. The hearts of newlyweds cannot help but respond to the natural splendor of the emerald lagoon, the timeless magnificence of the twin granite pillars and the pristine beaches. And is in the case of most other tropical islands, Bora Bora?s unique climate even seems to work as a natural aphrodisiac.

Since it is not crassly commercialized and cluttered with the usual trappings of the tourist trade, Bora Bora is the perfect setting for new couples to get to know each other better. Nothing intrudes on the privacy that is so much called for during a honeymoon ? the islanders appear to have an instinctive respect for romantic solitude. Many married couples consider their honeymoon at Bora Bora ? the leisurely walks along the moonlit lagoon, catching the sunrise and sunset on one of the beaches and meals expertly prepared by true masters of the trade-- to have a lingering effect.

There is something for every kind of honeymooning couple on Bora Bora. If the leanings are towards an extravagant splurge in bohemian luxury, it?s available at the many elite hotels and resorts that are spread over Bora Bora. The adventurous have no shortage of things to do ? despite its natural blessedness, the island is not an isolated phenomenon in the Polynesian chain. There is an enormous amount of tropical terrain to explore.

Many couples go a step further than just honeymooning at Bora Bora ? they even get married there. Tying the knot in a legally binding and valid manner is not exactly an easy process, and there are various formalities to follow. It is, however, possible. Or you may wish to have a spectacular mock-up marriage that immediately follows or precedes the legal one elsewhere. The natives have a unique ceremony that would make such an experience quite unforgettable.

Honeymoons in Hawaii - Year-Round Favorites

Honeymoons in Hawaii are being chosen from couples marrying in all seasons, from blushing June brides to red-nosed December brides. The lush island state has many faces, from its remote and isolated beaches to the hot, hip, and happening of downtown Honolulu, the state's capital. Consisting of numerous islands, the archipelago state usually draws visitors to its four main islands: Oahu, the Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui. Each of these islands has a special aspect that attracts couples seeking different types of Honeymoons in Hawaii, from the adventurous to the romantic.

If you are looking to include several islands in your honeymoon, consider taking a cruise around the island state. Cruise ships depart from Honolulu's historic Aloha Tower and embark on a multi-island itinerary, docking at major ports on the major islands. These cruises are an excellent way to see more than one island, since you do not have to switch hotel rooms or wait in airports for tiny commuter flights. Many honeymooners opt to cruise because of the all-inclusive nature of the boats, lumping meals, drinks, and activities into the price.

Another way to see the islands is by commuter flight. All of the islands have airports and commercial flight services ready to take you wherever your heart desires. Since most of the island airports are commuter airports, the usual hassle associated with air travel is nonexistent. Also, commuter flights allow you to spend as long as you wish on each island without having to worry about ships leaving port and leaving you behind.

Most couples that choose Honeymoons in Hawaii end up on Oahu. Known as the "Gathering Place," Oahu is home to the state's capital, Honolulu, and the world-famous Waikiki Beach. For city slickers, the Waikiki area is a dream come true, with world class shopping, five star restaurants, and luxurious hotels and resorts at every turn. Consider staying in two of the oldest hotels on the island, the lusciously pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the historic Moana Surfrider, both considered the "Grand Ladies of Waikiki."

For an alternative view of Oahu, head up to the North Shore, where each winter, massive waves bring surfers from all over the world. When these beasts roll into the shore, popular surfing tournaments take place, with professional surfers trying to tame the overwhelming force of the ocean.

Also on Oahu is the Dole Plantations, where pineapples dot the country side. It is also home to the somber memorial to the Japanese attack on the United States on December 7, 1941. The fallen USS Arizona lies buried beneath the waters of Pearl Harbor and a remarkable monument to those sailors, soldiers, airmen, and marines that fell during the surprise attack.

If you would rather trade in the crowds, traffic, and noise of Oahu for a more serene environment, head to Kauai, the "Garden Isle." This green sanctuary is perfect for the couple who wants to experience the natural beauty of the islands without the added glitz and glamour of commercialization. Sunbathe at secluded beaches, visit the undersea worlds that wait beneath the deep blue sea, or check out the natural wonders the island has to offer, such as the exotic Fern Grotto or the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific."

For an adventure seeking couple, be sure to at least make a stop on the Big Island of Hawaii. Home to the country's only actively erupting volcano, much of the eastern side of the island is occupied by the ancient goddess Pele, who spurts red hot lava into the sea to continue to expand the mass of the island. This island is also the location of the southernmost point in the United States, Kau, as well as numerous coffee plantations in the rainforest environment of Kona. Consider taking a breathtaking helicopter ride above the flowing lava or indulge in spa treatments that use the naturally occurring black sand.

The fourth major island in the Hawaiian archipelago is the island of Maui. Rich in fishing and whaling history, any couple who Honeymoons in Hawaii should visit the quaint village of Lahina, now packed with unique boutiques and scrumptious restaurants. The town of Maui is generally preferred by visitors, since it is the perfect combination of city and country.

All Inclusive Honeymoons

Are you interested in an all inclusive honeymoon? When you hear all inclusive honeymoon you just might think of the many options in the Caribbean, but there is a honeymoon package company in California that offers many all inclusive plans. Michelle OConnor, Honeymoon Vacation Packages, offers her tips on planning the honeymoon of your dreams with a minimum amount of fuss and a whole lot of fun!

The Difference
What makes an all inclusive honeymoon different than a traditional honeymoon?

Truly all inclusive honeymoons include all pieces required for the trip, coordinating, and handling the details of the trip from the day the couple books, until they return. Many all inclusive honeymoon companies work with their couples for up to one year prior to their wedding. An all inclusive honeymoon package should include coordination of the entire trip and all the travel vendors for a successful honeymoon (hotel, food, activites, entertainment, flight, rental car, honeymoon insurance, photos, cruise booking, lists of what to bring, travel tips for the area you are visiting, getting you the best price possible, etc.).

Depending on the time of year, many all inclusive honeymoon companies will run promotions offering free services with the packages. Such promotions may include a free professional portraits, a free gourmet dinner, or off-season discounts. The power of all inclusive honeymoons is that the couple gets all the best travel vendors at steep discounts. It would cost more for the couple to go out and put the honeymoon together themselves than it would to buy a complete honeymoon package, plus they get full travel planning with a professional staff and crew. The newlyweds just finished enjoying the excitement and details of putting a wedding together! Now its time for them to relax and let someone else do the hard part!

The couple should beware of extra hidden fees. Make sure your honeymoon company does not tack on additional fees at the last minute without telling you ask up front. Having to deal with surprise fees as the wedding day and honeymoon approach can be a nightmare. Many complete honeymoon package prices even have the tax included.

Popular Honeymoon Packages
Where can couples get information on all inclusive honeymoon packages?

Couples may visit the All Inclusive Honeymoon web page to receive more information on a variety of all inclusive honeymoon packages. Plus these packages are customizable! Let us do the hard part you make all the fun decisions!

Personalization and Custom Honeymoons
What special touches can couples add to an all inclusive honeymoon to personalize the package?

The beauty of all inclusive honeymoon packages is that the couple customizes the package. The couple does not have specific selections they must adhere to; they bring their ideas and dreams and the perfect honeymoon is created. The honeymoon company should be there to offer suggestions and help guide them through all that is involved in planning the full-scale adventure that is a honeymoon.

Simplification You Will Have Just Gotten Married! Now Its Time To Relax And Enjoy Your Time Together!
How do all inclusive honeymoon packages simplify a couples work in setting up the trip?

All inclusive honeymoon packages save couples countless hours of work! Planning and putting together the specifics of a full-scale event, which a honeymoon is, takes numerous hours and travel event expertise. The couple should meet (in person or via phone) with their all inclusive honeymoon company, tell them their wishes, and the company should make it happen.
With many honeymoon vacation packages the couple gets the best professional travel vendors at steep discounts. All inclusive honeymoon companies represent volume business for travel vendors. The couple is a one-time client and does not have the bargaining power that a volume client does. Many all inclusive honeymoon companies use their bargaining power to save couples money and time.

With an all inclusive honeymoon you dont have to worry about:
Performing endless travel vendor interviews.
Mailing out several different deposits and contracts.
The timing of flights, car rentals, hotel check ins, train rides
Pricing each vendor, then pricing again, then double checking one more time.
Who will setup the flight?
Who will advise you of what to watch out for at your destination?
Who will tell you what not to miss out on?
Triple confirming arrival times, services, activities, flights, etc.

Trends
Are you seeing any trends in all inclusive honeymoons?

More couples are choosing all inclusive honeymoon packages. With todays busy lifestyles, buying a complete honeymoon package you can customize to your own tastes and desireswhile getting a better price than if you did it yourself cant be beat. Couples should shop around to see what it would cost them to piece together their own honeymoon (not to mention their time, usually over 50 hours), then compare it to the all inclusive honeymoon packages that are available. Even if you already have a travel company you are working with, we welcome you to examine these complete honeymoon packages as a reference of what you might expect from a comparable company. Your complete honeymoon package company should offer you discounted pricing and a stress free trip that is designed around your own wishes and dreams!
